Fighting Eel Manoa

This inspiring project gave us the exciting opportunity to work with a local, woman owned business that has created quite the name for themselves. Fighting Eel has multiple stores located throughout Oahu and this Manoa location showcases not only clothing but home goods, beach equipment and bags galore. The main drivers behind this store were maximizing storage while maintaining an elevated, open feel.

The owner of Fighting Eel loves the blending of tropical with an elevated European feel. This arched backdrop creates a beautiful little niche for the rounded cash wrap while providing a feature for brand signage.

The home features muted travertine inspired materials, metallic wall paneling, and light oak custom millwork. With views like this, part of the interior experience is feeling connected with the exterior at most turns & that is precisely what guided materials.

These dressing rooms are framed by arched openings and enclosed by custom branded curtains. This is a perfect opportunity for the company to become a part of the built interior.
This little corner of the Manoa store shows what good furnishing can accomplish. The corresponding furniture pieces tie together the space creating a built-in looks on a budget.
With fully custom and semi-custom elements, this cash wrap blends functional retail design with elegance and luxury in a modern way.
This retail space has designated hanging space as well as areas for folded product and accessories.
